The Ask

This is not a partisan ask. Michigan's primary is open — you receive one ballot with a Democratic column and a Republican column. You choose which column to vote in. No separate ballot is issued.

A4H is asking every Hindu American in Michigan to vote in the Democratic column on August 4 and choose Haley Stevens for U.S. Senate.

This is why this race matters — to every Hindu American

A4H believes the politicians who have promoted caste legislation, curriculum changes A4H opposes, and ordinances A4H believes conflate Hindu sacred symbols with unrelated symbols respond to organized communities with votes and relationships. We have neither, unless we build them.

Haley Stevens has demonstrated she will engage with our community. A4H's review of publicly available sources as of July 2026 has not identified comparable engagement by her primary opponents. This is not a partisan ask — it is a community protection ask.

If you are a Hindu American in HD-56: vote in the Republican column for Ashok Baddi.
If you normally vote Republican in the general election, don’t overlook the Democratic primary. A4H believes Haley Stevens has the strongest documented record on issues important to Hindu Americans, and in Michigan, your primary ballot does not determine how you vote in November.

"She seats us at the table when others are putting us on the menu."

Politicians invest time and political capital where they see organized, consistent civic engagement. Haley Stevens has already demonstrated she will engage with our community. This vote is how we tell her — and every official watching — that the Hindu-American community notices, and rewards, that engagement.

📍 House District 56 — Special case

A4H also endorses Ashok Baddi for Michigan State House. We want Ashok in Lansing and Haley Stevens in Washington — both seats matter to our community.

HD-56 residents: vote in the Republican column for Ashok Baddi. Everyone else: vote in the Democratic column for Haley Stevens.
